Oracle Investor Day: A $20 Billion Answer to the Funding Question

Ben Bajarin ยท October 29, 2026

Creative Strategies event note | October 28, 2026 | Oracle Investor Day at Oracle AI World, Las Vegas, October 28, 2026 Oracle put a final number on what it needs to raise to finish its AI build, $20 billion split evenly between debt and equity, laid out the per-gigawatt economics behind its $664 billion backlog, and committed to $225 billion or more in fiscal 2030 revenue, positive free cash flow in the second half of fiscal 2028, and more than $30 billion of free cash flow in fiscal 2029. Operating view: For most of this year the bear case on Oracle has been a financing case, and it has spilled into the AI trade more broadly: Oracle signed more capacity than it could pay for, and a stretched Oracle would be the first sign that the build is running ahead of the money. Investor Day answered that directly.
